Teaching Experience in detail in Phonics classes
I am a professionally licensed ECCED (Early Childhood Care and Education) teacher, I have a master's degree in Business Administration and I also have my 120 hour TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language) certification and a certified Jolly phonics tutor. I have 2 years of teaching experience in international schools, where I have worked with a diverse group of students ranging from toddlers to kindergarten. My approach to teaching young learners is inquiry and play based learning, I also like to use lots of gestures like TPR (total physical response), teaching aids, songs, etc. to make learning fun and engaging. I look forward to working alongside you to support your child in mastering phonics and building a strong foundation for their reading skills. Please note: I teach Phonics only to Nursery and Kindergarten Students. If you wish to book my tutoring services or have any questions, please send me a message or we can discuss over a phone call, too.

Teaching Experience in detail in Handwriting classes
I have been teaching Early Years students in international school for the past 2 years. I cater to students ranging from Nursery to Kindergarten (3-6 years) guiding them in transitioning from pre-writing skills to eventually writing alphabets and numbers to sentences. I want to share a bit about how I approach teaching handwriting to our early years students. At this stage of development, handwriting goes beyond simply forming letters. It’s about building fine motor skills, developing spatial awareness, and encouraging the correct pencil grip. My approach is rooted in research-based strategies that support the physical, cognitive, and emotional growth of young learners. I understand that each child is unique, and my teaching reflects this by offering personalized support to help them progress at their own pace. By providing structured and creative exploration I ensure that students have fun and engaging routines as they learn the skill of writing. I focus on: 1. Correct Pencil Grip 2. Motor skill development 3. Letter and Number formation 4. Positive Reinforcement Handwriting is a vital skill which must be given importance to in the early stages of the developmental process of the child. I look forward to working alongside you in nurturing and developing this important skill for your child.

Phonics or Phonic activities is a significant building block in building child's ability to learn literacy. It lays a foundation to pronounce words well and with the help of the sounds, children do try to initiate pronouncing the new word given to them. This is reflected especially when a child starts reading story books on their own.

The best way to teach students about phonic sounds varies according to the age. For early years, the best option would be to teach the letter sounds would be with the help of songs for each letter which also says the sound of indiviadual letters which can be asily found on Youtube. For any other age group, the basic of learning phonics which is the letter sound should be the base on which the build on. It is vital to follow a particular phonic methodology like Jolly Phonics or Letterland to learn the sounds well. Please, do not refer to any teacher made video found on Youtube.
