Himanshu Jain

I am Himanshu Jain, a dedicated educator with five years of teaching experience in Maths and Science, currently working as a Senior Clerk in Indian Railways. My passion for teaching began during my academic journey, where I pursued a BSc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and a BEd with a focus on Science. My foundation in these subjects laid the groundwork for my career as an educator, where I developed a deep understanding of how to make complex topics accessible and engaging for students.

During my tenure at MLB Public School, Firozabad, I honed my teaching skills, especially in the areas of Mathematics and Science, for both middle and high school students. My primary objective as a teacher has always been to simplify difficult concepts and present them in a way that sparks curiosity and critical thinking in students. I believe that learning should be an interactive and exploratory process, and I incorporate hands-on activities, real-world examples, and technology into my lessons to achieve this.

Teaching Approach

I employ a student-centered teaching approach, focusing on the unique learning needs and pace of each individual. This allows me to adapt my teaching methods, ensuring that every student grasps the material fully, no matter their learning style. In Mathematics, I encourage students to understand the logic behind formulas and operations rather than merely memorizing them. By providing real-life examples, I make abstract concepts more relatable and easier to understand.

In Science, my goal is to create an environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore concepts beyond the textbook. I frequently integrate experiments and multimedia resources to provide practical learning experiences, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with the real world. For example, while teaching physics concepts like force and motion, I encourage students to observe and analyze everyday scenarios such as cycling or throwing a ball.

Key Strengths

One of my key strengths as a teacher is my ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps. I ensure that students not only solve problems but also understand the underlying principles. This is particularly useful in subjects like algebra and geometry, where students often face challenges. By building a strong conceptual foundation, I help students gain confidence and develop problem-solving skills that are essential for success in these subjects.

Another strength is my ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. I make sure every student feels heard and valued, fostering an atmosphere of respect and collaboration. Group activities and discussions are integral to my lessons, helping students learn from one another and develop teamwork skills. This collaborative learning approach also encourages students to think critically and independently, preparing them for future academic challenges.

Transition to Online Teaching

With my current role in Indian Railways and my desire to continue my passion for teaching, I am now looking to transition into online education. My skills in Maths and Science, coupled with my experience in handling large groups of students, position me well to offer online tutoring for various educational platforms. I am proficient in using digital tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and online whiteboards, making me well-equipped for virtual teaching.

I aim to reach a broader audience of students, including those preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET. By offering specialized tutoring in these subjects, I hope to continue inspiring students and helping them achieve their academic goals
