Creative Writing
Creative writing focuses on learning original writing techniques in order to effectively reveal the artistic literary ideas and inner feelings of the author and convey the intended message to the reader.
Our creative writing programme educates students on basic elements of writing, as well as the importance of character, scene and plot. It helps children develop an expansive composition-focused vocabulary which helps them choose the best words that are at the same time appropriate in context.
We also establish a strong connect with the disciplines of literature, philosophy and communication to enable development creative ideas.
We focus on the various creative writing genres (essays, narratives, autobiographies, letters, persuasive and argumentative essays, etc.) from both, an academic as well as professional point of view.
Budding Readers' Programme (BRP)
(Creative Writing: Preparatory Course)
The Creative Writing Programme, with its six levels, is our holistic English Language Development programme.
BRP is the preparatory level which focuses on strengthening the reading ability while grooming for Creative Writing in the near future. It is apt for students in standards 1 and 2.
It focuses extensively on:
