Chhandam Nritya Bharati

Chhandam Nritya Bharati was founded in 2010 by legendary Kathak maestro Pt Chitresh Das. Seema Mehta is the Director of Chhandam Nritya Bharati India. We are part of the global Chhandam School of Kathak founded by Pt. Das in San Francisco in 1980. CNB has classes in Girgaon Chowpatty and at Khar west. We teach Kathak in of the Jaipur and Lucknow gharanas as well as Das' innovation Kathak Yoga. Kathak Yoga improves mental focus, stamina and fitness and is a unique technique for Kathak practice. We train children and adults in dance technique, rhythmical mathematics, improvisation and Hindustani classical music. The students also receive intensive training from teachers from Chhandam worldwide when in residency in India, go for an annual dance retreat and participate in periodic recitals and Annual school show. Classes are at Studio Balance, Girgaon Chowpatty on Tuesday to Saturday and at Kids Club, Khar west on Saturday.
