In general, I include few basic aqua exercises along with swimming lesson, if someone is not interested at all in swimming then I include advance exercises.
Aqua exercise is suitable for one who has keen /joint pain, low/weak muscle strength, low bone density and heavy body type. Post pregnancy, to get fitness and to get in shape, this is more suitable exercise for women due to low muscle strength. I am not a doctor so for post pregnancy student, I would insist first consult your doctor and get confirmation and clarity.
