IdentityI have a Masters and a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. I have also published eight research papers in reputed international journals. After my Ph.D. I had the opportunity to work at one of the best industrial R&D departments in Atul Ltd, Valsad (Gujarat) for several years which gave me a practical perspective in Chemistry as well. I believe I have the right blend of academic credentials and industrial experience.
I also have the experience and passion for teaching. My aim is to make learning chemistry an enjoyable experience for all my students. In Singapore I taught chemistry to IGCSE and IB students at the International School of Singapore. Later, I worked as an Associate Lecturer at the School of Health and Life Science at Management Development Institute Of Singapore where I taught all branches of chemistry. eg Physical, Inorganic, Organic and pharmaceutical chemistry. MDIS is a private college which offers foundation level and BSc degree courses in collaboration with universities from UK and Australia.
Many of my students have developed a keen interest in Chemistry after I taught them the basics in a simple and logical way using examples and models especially for organic compounds. Fun learning is the only way to understand chemistry.
Besides Chemistry I have a keen interest in Singing. I have been an All India Radio singer. Participated in Light Vocal singing competitions at IIT Cultural festivals and won many awards.
