I have been work in Department of atomic energy for last 9 years.During my tenure in DAE I have been regularly taking classes for various subjects for new trainee batches.I have made many presentations and tried to present a practical approach to the subject, whereby the understanding of student will improve and help him in grasping key concepts. What happens to the gravitational force between two objects if their masses do not change but the distance between them becomes four times as much?

The gravitational force between two bodies reduces 16 times ,as gravitational force is directly proportional to product of the two masses and inversely proportional to square of their distances.

A solid sphere of uniform density and radius 4 units is located with centre at origin.Two spheres of equal radii 1 unit, with centres at A(-2,0,0) and B (2,0,0) are taken out of the solidleaving behind spherical cavities.Then: 1. the gravitational force due to this at origin is zero. 2. the gravitational force at B is zero 3. the gravitational potential is same at all points of the circle y2+ z2= 36 4. the gravitational potential at all points on the circle y2 + z2= 4
