Abhay Kasture

I am Abhay Kasture, born and bought up in Mumbai, 50 years. I am passionate about observation and converting into moments.

In my school days, I used to sketch a lot and then started painting with oil and acrylic, after jumping into professional life, art toke back seat for many years, eventually picked up a compact camera and started capturing moments. The love for photography grew by leaps and bound, broke few compacts and exposed many films in the learning curve. I simply belive it's how you see the world around you and how you connect to it. Love capturing those stories on my sensor.

After working for almost 30 years, I Quit my job in 2017, I travelled extensively throughout for a year and captured cityscape/landscapes/astro and nature in India. Occassionally I do few astro/landscape/light painting workshops. As I come from a printing background, I help Photographer friends to print their moments, practically on any surfaces, from canvas, paper, synthetic, fabrics, wood, metal, glass.

I love to capture moments with different pov, always on hunt for an unique angle for story telling. I currently use Nikon gears along with few Nikkor lenses.
Since last 3 years, I have started photo tours, photo walks and workshops, where I conduct short to long tours to unique destinations where I take participants (ameture and pro photographers) to capture the beautiful world arounds, we click landscapes, street photography, cultures, night skies qmd different genres of photography. Also conduct photowalks in the city where we click images on architecture, people, seasons, feativals.
I am also part of visiting faculty at an Institute, where I teach photography to budding photographers.
Since the pandamic, all the travel has been stalled, since that time, I have conducting online photography workshops, where I teach basic and advance photography.Impart knowledge on technical skills and power of observation.
