The two major classifications are vertebrates and invertebrates. The sub-classification of vertebrates are cold-blooded and warm-blooded. The sub-classification of invertebrates are with legs and without legs.
Examples for the same are :
Mammals ate warm-blooded animals; fishes are cold-blooded animals. (Vertebrates)
Spider have legs, so they are classified into with joint legs invertebrates, earthworm don't have legs and hence fall into without legs invertebrates.
