Often we do analysis in day to day life, before we start we should follow few principles of data cleaning activities in any application such as removing unwanted space, converting data into correct data type and arrangements of required data, we have below option in excel
1- Use Delimited option to remove or separate the data as per requirements
2- Remove unwanted space
3- Convert data formating from text to number, Date, time etc
4- If required remove duplicate data
5- Sort data basis Criteria
6- Remove blank cells/rows/columns
7- Update proper heading of columns and don't keep any duplicate heading
8- Most important is to keep original data file separate as work on a copy of data until you get the desired outcome
