I think if you are good at English, basic arithmetic and some basic puzzles, then 6-8 months before the exam are sufficient. But if you are not good at any of the subject, you must start your studies 10-12 months before the exam, and it will be more than sufficient if you are regular with your studies... ...more

I think if you are good at English, basic arithmetic and some basic puzzles, then 6-8 months before the exam are sufficient. But if you are not good at any of the subject, you must start your studies 10-12 months before the exam, and it will be more than sufficient if you are regular with your studies and the subjects. There are three subjects you have to study, and you have to give adequate time to all of them. So start 10-12 months before your exam, and try to start with basics and a lot of equal time and give more time to your weak areas. Thus 10-12 months will be more than sufficient to study for CAT.
