"Rishi sir is kind, patient and friendly. He has vast musical experience and is an excellent sir. He walked me through music theory as well as the details of the guitar. He makes the lessons fun and challenging. "

"I've never met an instructor so enthusiastic of one's improvement. Being an absolute beginner, I've never played a guitar prior to my lessons with Rishi. There are two things in particular which impressed me about his style of teaching. Firstly, he realizes everyone is different- he knows so many ways of explaining the same thing and will try different approaches until the light bulb turns on in your head, its unbelievably rewarding when it does. Secondly, Rishi always has your goals in mind and he structures the lessons to suit your individual needs- which is topnotch! I personally find music theory to be intimidating and mathematical, but Rishi incorporates the theory into practice in a seamless way that is practical and interesting. Needless to say, he just is impeccable! "

"Teaching skills are more than guitar and he has it all. He is clam and composed. Has an excellent understanding of the instrument and simplified method of teaching. Gives extra support when needed. "

"He is one of the best in the business. After joining his classes both my guitar playing and the theoretical knowledge about chords and stuff have improved way more than it used to be before. Without a second thought, I will recommend others to join his classes who are eager to learn how to play the guitar. "

"Rishi sir is a very friendly and amazing teacher. He explains everything very clearly. I started as a beginner and now I have learnt much about music theory and guitar skills in just 1-2 months. I am eager to continue my classes so that I could learn much more. I strongly recommend everyone to join his course. "

"Rishi has been extremely patient with me. He gives equal attention to both theory and practical. I could understand how he changed his teaching style to make sure I enjoy it to the fullest. I would highly recommend Rishi. He's polite and teaches in a very comforting way. Obviously, he's highly skilled at the guitar as well but as a teacher, he's the kind you wish all your school teachers were like. "

"Rishi understands your needs and I have been taking classes from last 2 months and he has cleared a lot of my doubts about advance guitar theory and playing. "
Nilanjan Sen
"I am going to Rishis class for the last 1 and a half month, going through the music theory as of now, he is very thorough in teaching every topic. I am getting a lot of interest each and every day, getting to know the source of good music, listening to them, and trying to play them really helps. There is some really good daily exercise Rishi taught me, which increases the speed, understanding of the fretboard, intervals. Rishi always prioritizes on learning the basics apart from jumping into any cool stuff which is important. Really enjoying his session, hopefully, will do in future too. "
Shuka Deva
"A very personalized learning experience that surely will help any student. Really enjoy the teaching methods and style highly recommend him for beginners and intermediate players who are interested in learning. "

"Rishi is a great teacher. I think he is really able to connect with his students. His style of teaching is interesting. "
Salil Mehrotra
"I am a touring musician but didn't have good theory knowledge. Rishi sorted out my concepts and had immense patience. All in all a good experience. "

"I’ve been playing guitar for a few years now and started classes with Rishi about 6 months ago, and it has been a fantastic experience so far. A strong foundation is the most important thing with learning anything and I think my foundation in music has become a lot stronger under Rishi’s mentorship. He’s a great guitar player and has a great understanding of music and a lot of cool guitar techniques. It’s like I walk away with something more with every single class. I’m currently working on my own EP and he’s helpful with that as well. A++ for guitar classes and a great guy, 10/10 would recommend. "

Hi Kunal,
Guitar tabs provide you with instructions on how to play a melody, whereas when you strum, you're playing chords, which are the harmony behind the melody, and in some cases, have a melody running on the upper structure of a chord.
Guitar tabs tell you which fret to play at which string. The bottom most line on the tab is the thickest (Low E) string, and the upper most line is the thinnest (high e) string. Then just play the fret at the string it tells you to and you're playing a melody!

Kadence is relatively new in the guitar manufacturing industry while Yamaha has been making amazing guitars for many years now. I would advise an F310 if you're a beginner since it will undoubtedly be a great guitar.
For more experienced players, always play the guitar before buying it. It should feel right in your hands, and you should love the sound of it. You might connect more to an inexpensive guitar while the connection might be missing in even a Martin or a Taylor.
F310 will last you the test of time, my experience with Kadence has not been great. I got a Kadence Slowhand, and it had some manufacturing defects. Not saying that the guitars are bad, but there's a slight gamble there. I use Kadence products every day (stands, cables, strings, etc.), and they're perfect, however, I still think they need a couple of years of guitar manufacturing experience to be at par with a manufacturer like Yamaha.

Hi Srinu!
The fundamentals of music will remain same whether it's Indian classical or Western music, it's just that the approach and theories of music differ within the respective styles of music. It's easier to start with Western music because there's an abundance of teachers, online lessons, dedicated websites and support. If a person's fundamentals are clear and they have strong basics and a good musical vocabulary, they'll be able to understand and play any style of music. :)
