Hi, I am very eager to put my child in Legacy. I have been following the school and the review comments. Right now I have mixed feeling of the school. I came to know that the school isnt ICSE affliated. Wouldnt this be a problem? Not sure why the school is taking time to get ICSE affliated. Also the comments on recent 100% fee hike is worrying. Hi,
I am very eager to put my child in Legacy. I have been following the school and the review comments. Right now I have mixed feeling of the school. I came to know that the school isnt ICSE affliated. Wouldnt this be a problem? Not sure why the school is taking time to get ICSE affliated. Also the comments on recent 100% fee hike is worrying. I am fully confused if I should go for the school.
Can someone please let me know regarding school's affliation and when will it get affliated. What will be the future of students coming out in Xth or XIIth. Will they be able to secure admission for other colleges and professional streams.
Will be very helpful if someone can help me with my queries «less

Thanks Mallika for sharing the info, got an update from school to collect the form on 9th Jan. Ya they seem to be only after money, the application fee costs 750 Rs thats too much... Well but if school is really worth all this, then fine. @Leela, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, Really happy to know about Mrs Roopa Swamy, but a little confused... more»

@Leela, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, Really happy to know about Mrs Roopa Swamy, but a little confused now.....Mr Sait is the New Principal right ? And the previous principal Roopa Swamy is still working with Legacy ? What role has she taken up now ? Hope legacy still runs under her leadership....

Hey no Pushpa, Roopa is the Princy and thank God for that. Thats the only good thing. MrSait is son of the the lady who started montesory sometime in the 80's and he just came back from US and became Director. No great deal. Roopa made it what it is today and she is so different to other Princys. wish her all the best and God Bless her. And good thing... more»

Its been a trend since Mr Saad came to increase fees erraticaly .1st it was 70-80% and it was 100% also and now again Whats up Legacy? at least we were informed early otherwise it wud be last minute and we would be in take it or leave it place. I agree Ashok, whats to happen at this rate? Mr Saad is obstinate also. Does not take suggesting and thinks... more»

Pushpa,School is closed for winter hols i heard. LKG fees is approx 52k + 60k devpt fees which is not refundable + 10k (security deposit). I am told everyting else is actuals - books, uniform, shoes, some jacket i heard, shorts also, They lkeep taking money throughout the year for their Annual Day and they make money at sports day by selling eats and... more»

All you people who are in Legacy or have applied and those who have got admission this time, let me share something which may give you confidence. Having been with the school since it started in 2005 as Vidyaniketan Academy, I have very fond memories of the old school and how homely and personal it was. Roopa, the Principal is the most approachable person I have known and her vision warms mine and many a parents heart to know that our children are in her hands. Yes we did see a flurry of change in 2009 when Mr Sait entered fresh and new from the US and wanted the school to take a 360 degree turn to westernising VNA or more so bringing in americanism. It was a painful junncture and we all were torn apart by the fee hike and moving campus which no doubt is nice, but we thought all was lost. The one hope and direction was the Principal and we stayed by her and its good to know that she is there and at the helm of the academics, tho Mr Sait sometimes tries to give in her two penny bit, but just a 2 minute talk with Roopa and you will go away happy and reassured. So put your money in and keep your faith in the Principal Roopa Swamy who will be yourr guide, friend and mentor and Counsellor. What a versatile person she is ! «less

We are looking for admission for our son in Nursey who is 3.6 years now. He is at present in CBSE school and would like to know if transition to ICSE could be of problem or not. We are very keen on Legacy. Please let us know how we can approach the school for admission.

Transportation is outsourced. To my knowledge Kamanna travels is the major operator among others. They have a good team of drivers and attendants who are very courteous and responsible. I have had no issues in the last 3 years and I think all parents who are using Kamanna tvls service would agree with me. They have a fleet of yellow buses.

Yet another hike in the fee for 2012-13 academic year!! not 10 or 20% , but 32% !!! An average India Ink salary hike ios mere 8-12 % . Legacy become a big business place.

Dear Reddy, the school does not have it's own transportation facility. It is outsourced. School management does not have control over anything on the transportation. The fee is fixed by vendors and it is not standardized by the school. They use mostly Omni vans, which is unsafe for the kids, they don't even paint in yellow which is necessary rule to... more»

Attender was there only for a couple of months and that was the end. If you ask the vendor, he will threaten by saying send your child by another van. I think it is happening in most of the routes. «less

Transportation is worst. No safety for the kids. No attender in the van. Please do something. Hope you understand the parents' feelings and do something to make sure the kids are safe.

My son didn’t get admission for 2012 batch in Legacy. Management informed to send a mail regarding our concerns. By they have not replied back to the mail regarding our son’s admission. My feeling is that i don't think they are trying to hide anything. At the orientation programme i don't think anyone of us asked about the Admission fee( unless i missed it when i stepped out to check on my daughter). Mr. Saad was pretty direct and am sure he would have informed us had we asked. Most schools have admission fee which is partially refundable... more»

Most schools have admission fee which is partially refundable in case the child wishes to change the school due to transfer etc....how much of this 60k is refundable and yes, how much increase every year is the question we should be asking. From the info I got at presentation the tuition fees are as given in the FAQ and we have to pay 10K as security deposit and a development fee of 60K!!!! why they not tell in the beginning i dont know. Not right. may be to collect 750/- for application form. last year securty deposit was 5k and devpt fee 50K. year by year fees is rising.

hidden charges and not told till asked!!! Principal's vision is very solid and futurstic and came from heart. Otherwise the other person seem to market it. well will see other school also as fees increase evry yr is scary and it is over 50 to 100%.
