SketchUp (great for architectural design and quick modeling), Tinkercad (ideal for beginners with its user-friendly interface), Blender (powerful and versatile, with a free version), Autodesk Maya (industry standard for animation and complex modeling), Autodesk 3ds Max (popular for 3D animation and visual effects), Rhinoceros (strong for organic shapes and complex surfaces), and ZBrush (excellent for sculpting and high-detail character modeling). 

Kneaded erasers are the most useful for erasing and manipulating graphite.

I like General's Brand . They are slightly sticky, but not too much.

You can lighten a shaded area by gentle tapping or rolling.

Compared to Sketch, Photoshop has more design and editing features. Sketch has fewer design features and is mainly software for Ux/UI designing. All the images or graphics are not necessarily vectored in Photoshop. While in Sketch, everything is a vector by default

The lightest pencil commonly used for sketching is the 9H pencil.

It produces very light and fine lines due to its hard graphite core.

This makes it suitable for preliminary sketches, technical drawings, or light outlines before applying darker tones or details

A sketch is not as complicated as Photoshop; someone new can quickly get used to it.

Velum/medium textured paper

Whilst I still love to experiment with different surfaces, my go-to at present is definitely a vellum/medium textured surface rather than smooth. The two brands that I opt for are Strathmore and Winsor & Newton; specifically the Strathmore Bristol vellum surface 400 series and 500 series.
