IdentityI started my teaching career in 2002 and I have 13 years of rich experience in teaching the undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates. I am a passionate and energetic teacher and have always had the best feedback from students and management. As a trainer at ICICI Manipal Academy of Banking, I was awarded the Excellence Award for Academics. I was also felicitated by Ms Chanda Kochchar, CEO and MD, ICICI Bank.
I believe when students’ energy is aroused by a teacher’s genuine passion for the subject and intensity for learning, the way for active learning opens up. I hope to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share a passion to learn with them. Today, there is a dire need for strong, committed and compassionate educators who are excited to work with children. In choosing to be a teacher, I have made a commitment to create a caring and stimulating atmosphere to my students so that they can grow intellectually, emotionally and socially.
As technology is taking charge of our lives, including our students, the role of the teacher gets redefined time and again. There is no dearth of information for our students now. They now look up to teachers as guides, mentors and facilitators. I greatly use the Socratic method-question answer method for active engagement.
I have also completed MBA in International Business. In addition, i have qualified the UGC NET for Assistant Professorship and also SLET for Assistant Professorship(Karnataka).
