First step is blowing , then learn to play sa re ga ma pa dh ni sa. Third you can practice alankars. Start slowly then paly them fast. If you clear the alankars and gain practice half of the battle is won as many songs use alankars and raags use alot of them. Meanwhile start practicing higher pitches. After alankars go on with songs, hindi film songs, and finally u can try ragas as they need much technique and improvisation.
