Cellulose is a complex carbohydrate (also called sugar) made of Glucose. It is found in the cells of plants, fungi and some bacteria. Though cellulose is a type of carbohydrate, but not used to produce energy rather, used as a structural molecule, that is, the cells containing cellulose in their cell walls maintain more structural stability than the non-cellulosic cells against mechanical stress.
