■Biodata:-
Sri Soumyajit Paul is one of the most promising & nationally acclaimed young sitar exponent from Kolkata. Born in a family with rich musical tradition at Bardhaman town, West Bengal. Started learning Sitar from his Father-Guru Sri Satyajit Paul(who is a senior disciple of the Senior Sitar maestro, Padmashree Pandit Manilal Nag of the Bishnupur Gharana) & then he took the intensive guidance under the tutelage of Sitar Maestro Pandit Soumitra Lahiri ji of the traditional Bishnupur Gharana under guru-shishya parampara since last 20 years. He is the 6th generation toarchbaerer of this traditional dhrupad gharana of West Bengal.
