According to me for beginners best in C is "Lets Us C" by Kanetkar and in C++ is "The Complete Reference C++" by Herbert Schild.

What is the use of getch(); in the end of c program

getch() is a function to read a single character from keyboard. When we used getch() the character entered from keyboard will not be echoed on screen. The purpose of using getch() at the end of the program is that to hold the output screen until we pressed a character from a keyboard as it's purpose... ...more
