Choose any one scale, then play each note and sing along with the note, one note at a time. Go upwards and downwards throughout the octave. In indian music its like - Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa| Sa Ni Dha Pa Ma Ga Re Sa.
Also, you can try some Paltas or Vocal exercise patterns using these 7 notes.
