Children between the age group of 11 and 13 are emotionally very fragile. They are just beginning to cope with hormonal changes. Theyâ??re also hitting a time when peers will have the most influence on them. They want to be poised and have self-control, but they are often clumsy and in conflict.Â
This course is designed to help children within this age bracket to develop their English Language skills through group based activities to enhance their ability express themselves in a lucid but coherent manner. As such, the course is designed around activities like Group Discussions, Extempore, intensive and extensive group activities.
This course will also provide a platform to talk with them about their struggles and what they are observing with their friendsâ?? struggles. Such interactions supported with necessary interventions will help them:
- Learning to handle emotions such as fear, frustration and rejection
- Beginning to develop personal values
- Developing leadership skills
- Developing persistence
- Exploring and examining rules to make sure the rules are fair
- Identifying themselves with a peer group; they may do things with others that theyâ??d never attempt alone
Classes will be held 2 days a week for 3 months. Each class will be for 90 minutes duration. Class will be typically held during the weekends.
