Yes, it is very nessesary to learn classical because bollywood music comes from ragas.

If a person wants to become a singer, does he/she needs to know Carnatic or Hindustani? My question may be tricky. But I want some suggestion like at the age of 23 can a person become a singer by attending music classes? Thanks in Advance.

Yes it's nessesary to learn classical. Age is not matter to learn..just dedication nd more nd more practice to proper ways.. that's it.
