""I contacted her for kathak class, initially she sounded pleasant, and her fee structure was affordable, therefore I didn't keep a demo class. I paid for one month class and joined. The first-class slot was on 5 pm and she was 15 mins late, which was barely tolerable for a punctual person like me. Secondly her broadband irked me, nevertheless, I was tolerant until she started her class without any further introduction about anything. She taught bharatnatyam namaskaram and mudras. I knew the basic of bharatnatyam and it's mudras because of my mom being a dancer, I told her that these are bharatnatyam mudras. I understood while doing the namaskar itself that this is not kathak because the posture itself is different. She then taught me a tatkar which was the terrible footwork and body posture I have seen. She is not good at teaching, some point I felt like she is shouting. I was expecting when this class going to end. I doubt the authenticity of her knowledge in the beautiful artform kathak. Before being teacher, first learn to teach students with a smile, politeness, patience and positive. After my first class, I told her that am not going to continue the class. She deducted one class fees and gave back rest of the amount. I felt betrayed because she lied to me. If you don't know kathak, better don't insult the art form and the student. She wasted my time, money, expectation and trust. I don't recommend a teacher like her. I am glad that am not a student of her. " "
