I am an English Honours, MA, M. Phil, and UGC Net Jrf scholar, attached to a reputed university right now. I teach English and Bengali language from classes 5 to 12 on all boards, English and Bengali medium. I started teaching junior classes because I found out that graduate students can't do well in English honors as they don't know the language well. I used to teach honors only; then I started teaching 9 to 12. But I realized the students were too busy with other subjects then, so the proper time to teach a language is the junior classes. My class is different from those businessmen teachers' classes. We try to learn here. I also cover the school syllabus of the language portion. Only recently, I started teaching Bengali as it will improve students' capability of self-expression. I've been giving private tuition for more than 10 years. I prefer unabridged authentic grammar books, Oxford-style phonetics, and mainly Oxford and Cambridge workbooks. Can't teach from market notebooks. I believe in quality teaching and not spoon-feeding. It will take time to learn, but once you learn, you learn forever.
