After 13 years of face-to-face interaction & teaching, it has been a new revelation to re-discovering the educator in myself through online tutoring in the last 12 years. Adapting the time-tested lecture-tutorial methodology to the classes, on the one hand, and facilitating the achievement of the goal of independent learning among the students, on the other, has been a rewarding experience. Based on the constructivist principles of education, online tutoring brings a self-directed, creative, and innovative learner to the fore. It enhances the role of facilitator and mentor in the educator.
