For a solo pianist playing on a digital keyboard, there are many sounds - there is no way for digital pianos to record and reproduce them all.
It's close But it's not the same.

When playing in a band, I can have a Hammond organ, a Wurlitzer or Rhodes electric piano, a Steinway or Yamaha grand piano, or an entire brass section at the push of a button.
 A piano can't do that.

Also, playing in an ensemble pushes a lot of frequencies that a piano eats into the sound, so it's not worth trying on a real piano.
My keyboard has an eq built in so I can push the frequencies necessary to cut the band without increasing the volume.

For me, the piano is very good.
I play over 100 shows a year. Life is hard enough :)

But if you want to learn classical music and plan to play with a real piano, a real piano will work better for you.
