IdentityI am a Sustainable Fashion Designer with expertise in fashion management and retail. I holds a Master’s in Fashion Management - Marketing in Retail from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Srinagar and a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design and Retail from Apparel Training and Design Centre, Kolkata . I have also teaching experience since 5years.
I have industry experience in buying and merchandising, brand management, and business development, having worked with Vero Moda, Bestseller (Mumbai) as an intern, GN Garments (Kolkata) as a Merchandiser, and Third Eye as a Fashion Designer & Merchandiser Intern. My responsibilities have included sales analysis, order management, vendor coordination, merchandising strategies, trend research, and inventory management.
Passionate about sustainability, upcycling, and entrepreneurship, I am also actively involved in craft cluster projects with artisans in Kashmir and Bengal. Conducted multiple design workshops. Additionally, has published a journal on Recycling and Sustainability in the Journal for Modern Trends in Science and Technology (2020, ISSN-2455-3778 online).
My technical skills include Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Coral Draw, Figma, and Microsoft Office, along with strengths in design thinking, merchandising, branding, marketing, and vendor management. Proficient in English, Hindi, and Bengali.
