Reading is a good habit, but when you come across a new word, try to guess the meaning in the context of the writing before you go scrambling around for your dictionary.

There are numerous ways of imbibing a new vocabulary.

Online or offline. You are the centre point. If you "want" to put in hard work, you will reap the benefits. You reap what you sow. Online it is one to one, you can clarify your doubts better, and your tutor can give you undivided attention.

What preparation should I do as my daughter is going to Class 1 (CBSE) in Delhi from junior KG in Mumbai. I am too much worried for her studies as the syllabus and all is quite different.

Give her time to bloom. Most good schools, like St. Xaviers, etc. do not encourage children to be tutored up to class 4. The natural talent and interests of the children should be guided and nourished, at this point by parents. Rest, school teachers will facilitate.
