IdentityI have been practising Kathak for ten years and hold a Master's in this beautiful classical dance form. As a performer and choreographer, my main goal is to preserve and promote Kathak in our country while teaching it to those interested in learning. 2014 I completed my Master's degree and immediately started teaching Kathak. I have had the incredible opportunity to travel abroad and showcase my talent as a Kathak performer. Moreover, I am honoured to receive the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, which has allowed me to develop my skills further. Additionally, I received a gold medal from the Sarwabatiiyan Sanggeeth Parishat for my contributions to the field.
Teaching Kathak is my passion, and I offer offline and online classes. Each session lasts for an hour, during which I provide a combination of practical and theoretical teachings. I focus on imparting taal (rhythm) knowledge and conducting rhythm classes. A strong foundation in rhythm is crucial for mastering Kathak. To enhance the learning experience, I recommend a diploma course for interested students.
To facilitate learning, I share my classes' videos, comprehensive notes, and music compositions. These resources help my students practice and review the techniques we cover in our sessions. I strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment in my classes, allowing my students to explore and express themselves through Kathak. My ultimate aim is to contribute to the preservation and growth of Kathak, ensuring that this classical dance form continues to thrive in our country. By sharing my knowledge and passion with my students, I hope to inspire them to embrace this beautiful art form and carry it forward for future generations.
