Well, if you have expertise on the topic, you can start home tuition on your own. The fee varies based on the geography/ your expertise and the difficulty.

- You need space to accommodate students. So it is up to you, how many students you want to start with. I would suggest not to spend too much initially, start with one batch for Class 10 in Mathematics/ English to test waters. Target 20 students. - Charge 3000/ month per student for 25 classes. Even if you give them a discount for early bird and referrals (flat 500), you will make 2,500 from each student.
- If you have 20 students, you will make 50 K per month so that you will break even in the first month itself. In a year, you will earn 6 L with 20 students, teaching just one subject. Find an experienced tutor, who is retired, give him a percentage per student, say 30% of student fee, which is 1,80,000. So in the first year, your total expense ( electricity and miscellanies), including your investment will be around 45,000 + 1,80,000 for the teacher= 2,25,000. Your profit would be 3,75,000.
