An electronic keyboard is an electronic musical instrument played using a keyboard, similar to a piano
There are 61 keys in total. 36 white and 25 black keys. 5 octaves. While Standard piano has 88 keys, 52 white and 36 black. 7 octaves

Black keys, and white keys. It may look confusing at first but here are a couple things that will make it easier.

  • There are only 12 basic notes. Every set of 12 notes is the same as every other set of 12 notes, only higher in pitch, or lower in pitch.
  • Every single white key is part of the C Major scale.
  • Every single black key is either called a “sharp” (#) or a “flat”(b).

Electronic Keyboard can be used as piano as well as the organ by changing the TONE.

There are various brands of keyboard available like Korg, Roland etc. Yamaha and Casio are the most common especially in India.

Trinity college of Music, London school of music and ABSRM are the famous music schools which offer grades and diploma in Guitar, piano, organ and electronic keyboard.
