Reasons: Light belongs to Electromagnetic portion of the wave spectrum. Light does not require any material medium for their propagation. Hence they are also called Non-mechanical Waves. 2) In microcontroller all peripherals such as RAM ROM TIMERS/COUNTERS are all embedded (in built) under single chip. There is no need to connect externally.
3) Speed of microcontroller is high since it takes less time to form communication between all the peripherals since they all are in built under single chip.
4) Microcontrollers consumes less power since it has all components under one chip.
