My daughter was born on 1st Jan 2010. What is the Age criteria for admission into LKG and CLASS 1? Like other KV schools, is priority given to govt employees' children first? Anything else i need to know?

@ Ramakrishnan...sir..my children are studying in JKV (from LKG) and both of them got seats without any recommendations. Regarding preparations, to be honest, we didn't even send our elder son to preschool and it was a direct admission to LKG (now he is 8th std).

I similar way, we trained my daughter in all the rhymes, numbers, alphabets, colouring etc. Infact, we observed, she did well in JSS school also; It failed there also. Maybe the caste and race facts. As we felt, for LKG admission, we should not indirectly declare that my kid is not capable for admission without recommendation; hence I did not go for recommendation.

I heard about Suryodaya International Public School, Doddakkalasandra and found decent and elegant with reasonal fees. If anybody is aware of this school... pls share your opinion on this. «less

Hey , My kid did get selected w/out reccomendation. We had been sending him to a playschool nearby - I must admit that the playschool is decent. Once he come back home - We carry out activities that are fun for the kid - like drawing colouring . My wife repeats the rhymes for him and try to make it fun for him - for may be 2 hrs per day . My kid did get selected w/out reccomendation.

Once he come back home - We carry out activities that are fun for the kid - like drawing colouring . My wife repeats the rhymes for him and try to make it fun for him - for may be 2 hrs per day . We dont even stop him from coming into the kitchen and let him be like us - Ofcourse keeping a watchful eye all the time. I am lucky that we can afford to do it since mine is a joint family. Rest all is play for him.

He watches Mistermaker - on the ceebebies Channel and likes it very much - tries papercutting and all. So I think from what little I have learnt ... we need to encourage and build interest into the child for creative activities

Hi Rajesh,
By June 1st child should be minimum of 3.10yrs age to get join to LKG. I also have clarification from Director of SSLC board that to attend 1st standard child should be 5.10yrs. I f it is less student may be disquclified to attend 10th std public exam. hope this helps

I like the school atmosphere very much, my son name Bharath chandra Y is studying in LKG C section. The classrooms are well decorative and are attracted by the kids. the parents day and annual day was well organized by the school and all staffs are well cooperative. we are very happy that our son is studing in such good and wonderful school.

I saw reviews application for 2012-2013 is closed, but i want to know the above information.
Is there a Pre-KG in JKV.
B'coz we know many students studied in JKV, have good reviews about the school. So we are interested to join him there.
