What will be the product obtained as a result of the following reaction and why?
Rearrangement takes place.
First primary carbonate is formed.but that is unstable.so secondary carbocate is formed.secondary carbocate ion more stable than primary carbocate ion.so in the presence of aluminium chloride rearrangement takes place.final product is iso propyl benzene is formed.if up want still further clarification.just call to me.i vl explain clearly.
