it is great that you have 8 years of .net experiance, it would be very much helpful to your career if you can learn Azure 532 or AWS Certified Developer training and certification.
from a technology stand they (AWS / Azure) are same and it is your choice where you get start but from opportunities stand combination or Azure and .net is verypowerful and you will get decent packages. infact we are looking for good techi with .net and azure combination
