If there was ever an example of Art emerging amid misery and difficulties, the living proof is artist Achintya Hazra(Ex-Army). He has been fond of drawing since childhood. While growing up, due to a dire financial situation at home, he had to take up a job to support his family, and he chose to join the Indian Army at the age of 19 years and serve the country.
This was where another life began for him. He got acquainted with people of different languages and races. His contribution as an Indian Soldier is immense. He has given an excellent account of himself in many operations and border security duties. During this time, he has been honoured with many prestigious awards.

He retired after a long span of nineteen years of service and joined the civil domain. He has been painting in various mediums, such as Oil, Acrylic and Watercolor. He has received many awards and accolades in the world of Art.
