I have been associated with top-rated publishing houses like Pearson and have reviewed their science series for classes VI to VIII.
I have conducted teacher training on a variety of topics related to the subject-Biology and general topics like Class-room Management, Gender Sensitivity, Motivation etc.
As a Vice Principal (Academics), Delhi Public School, Ranipur, Haridwar, India, I took charge of curriculum monitoring, planning and general coordination. I superannuated from the said post from Delhi Public School Ranipur, Haridwar, India which is a one of the most reputed school in India.
I have always believed in one philosophy while teaching Biology is to go from known to unknown; to start the lesson with what students relate to and then from that derive the topic to be taught. While teaching I ensured that they become independent learners and analyse subject in deeper and more analysed manner. I frequently used demonstration so that the students were able to get first hand practical experience of the object or the phenomenon to be studied,
While dealing with students in developed unique relationship with them which made than feel supported and cared for.
Being proficient in computers and use of multimedia, I used this tool effectively so that the lesson taught is summarized at the end of the lesson.
I have developed a huge question bank which were effectively used by students to score good marks in their examination.
I believe that education should be used as a weapon to 'create value' in every aspect of human life. For this reason, work towards tapping and bringing forth the latent infinite potential of the young minds thereby enabling them to explore analyse comprehend create and envision a new world.
