I am a positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life. I love my job and get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. I am doing my job well if I can positively impact their future.

Allow me to say a little about myself first. I am Upasana Bordoloi. I am a Post Graduate in Sociology and have taught the same for the last nine years. I can write down the details of my teaching experience and, at the risk of sounding vain, also of its success. But my teaching should do my talking. Nevertheless, my experience in teaching has been a beautiful journey of not just tutoring my students in the said subject but being a mentor for them. My ex-students claim that my notes have much in common with the Boards examinations, which is what they credit their success to, but I will have to give credit back to where it is due - which is to their hard work and trust in me. I have endeavoured as a subject teacher and a class teacher to be a mentor and, most importantly, a friend to my students so that they feel it's a safe space for me to learn, ask, question and share during their time with me. I am grateful daily for being able to teach and enrich and be enriched by my students.
