Learned mathematician with a degree in Mathematics, and Science, have persued Music as core passion from the age of 7 years. As a classical Musician have been teaching music for over 10 Years to young kids and adults, ensuring they develop the understanding of music and not only of an instrument.
Though I have earned most awards in my career through Tabla as it has been my core strength, However Dholak, Harmonium, Synthesizer, Bongo and Congo are other instruments I love to play.
My way of teaching Tabla would include different phases, to give a strong foundation to my students. Different Phases in which I would teach would be as below:
1. Basic Structure – For Beginners Level
i) Taal - Teen-Taal, Jhap-Taal, Ek-Taal, Dadra, Rupak, Deepchandi, Kaharva.
ii) Table Ke Ang - (Practical And Theory)
iii) Table Ke Varn - (Practical And Theory)
2. Tabla For Intermediate Level (BOL)
i) Basic Tabla Bol
ii) Basic Bol Sequences (Tite).
iii) Basic Bol Sequences (Tirkit).
3. Tabla For Advance Level (Taals)
i) Teen-Taal (Do-Gun, Teen-Gun, Kayde, Palte….Etc.)
ii) Jhap-Taal (Dogun, Teengun,….Etc.)
iii) Ek-Taal
iv) Dadra
v) Rupak
vi) Deepchandi
vii) Kaharva.
