What are tips for improving my ability to sightread music on the piano?

Strong Note and Rhythm Recognition: If you hesitate to find notes on the staff or decode rhythms, your sight-reading will always be slow. Use flash cards, online exercises, and workbooks dedicated to strengthening these. Scales and Arpeggios: These are the building blocks of much of Western music.... ...more
