IdentityAge is no barrier to starting learning & excelling in music & my experience stands testimony to that. Started learning when I was in 3rd year of college & I have given over 100 performances including the prestigious December Music season.
I come from the musical lineage of Tiger Varadachariar & my teacher Late Smt. Rajalakshmi Ramanujam was a direct disciple of Tiger. I have also learnt from Embar Raghavasimhan sir(Srirangam). Currently I learn from the Trichur Brothers.
Teaching methodology:
# Voice - It is the most important thing for a singer. How to train? Practice? Maintain?
# Theory - One cannot separate theory from practical singing.
# Performance - Some aspects of performance are very important & I will train on that.
# Rare compositions - They are my primary forte & that will be one key differentiator in how I teach.
