Speaking, reading, writing & listening are integral parts of communication. To improve speaking skills, the other factors are also to be considered. Talking and especially if you are asking about English, becomes like maths. Where everything depends on practice, the more you do it, the more you learn it.
Speaking skills can be improved by getting the grammar right. Once you have confidence that the sentences constructed by you are right, you will have enough courage to say them verbally. Also with this, you can challenge your self with topics to evaluate how well do you speak on a random question ( say for, eg, Table, describe the room you are in, school life etc.). With this video recording are a good idea where you can assess your language with your body language.
It's always a good idea to be surrounded by people who also speak right as it would help in your improvement. Reading passages are another way to practice confidence with sentences with random words in it( as it also includes, modulation and tone).
More activities can be done. For now, if you start with this, it's just going to make it better.
