I also hold a certificate in Child and Adolescence Psychology with Childrenâ??s First, a course by prominent Psychiatrist Dr. Amit Sen and Dr.Kavita Arora and Psychologist, Shelja Sen. I am also trained by Save the Children, Sweden, as a country trainer on Positive Discipline and Elimination of Physical and Psychological punishment. Having extensive experience in promotion of human rights and behavior, child & adolescent protection, non-violent learning, emotional intelligence and self-development methods with an objective to contribute to human rights and protection, I am a member of the UN Inter-Agency Network on youth Developmentâ??s Working Group on youth and Gender Equality and a member of UNâ??s Policy Strategy Group on World We Want 2030.
I am also trained in meditation and spiritual self-development techniques. I have worked with caregivers, social workers, parents, and teachers (teacher development program)on child & adolescent protection including positive discipline, psycho-social support, parenting, life skills, social emotional learning, bullying, building resilience and non-violent techniques, etc. I believe in participatory facilitation methodology and experiential learning techniques.
