Go for Indian vocals that will enhance your voice. In western you have a structure (timings/Beats) which is quite easy to learn but in indian there is no specific structure. By structure i mean to sing in a time signature. In Indian vocals the alaaps are quite difficult to master which is beyond timings/beats. This will help you to expand your vocal range. Carnatic on the other hand is quite complex
