IdentityI started teaching as a fresh M.A. Graduate way back in 1991. I picked skills along the way. The journey has continued till date. After such a long time, it feels like yesterday. The best part about teaching is thAt it gives you an oppurtunity to not only pass on what you know but also learn from students. I had the good fortune to meet some wonderful students who made me feel glad that i am a teacher.My teaching style is interactive for i have always encouraged the students to ask me questions so that in turn i also gained knowledge. My B.ed degree helped me because i was able to give to an extent personal attention to children. My srength lies in the fact that i encourage adiscussion based class, a lot of emphasis on grammar, I love teaching English i a way which encourages children to try and read as amny books as possible. When i was teaching actively, i used the interactive white board which was very useful. Now since i have my own setup ,however small it may be, i still use the white board, because English is a visual subject where the imagination of a child is very important, but at the same time, keep an eye on the completion of the syllabus too. Recmntly, i gave my B. Music exams under Bhatkhande school of Music.
