IdentityI have been a school teacher since 1991. I have a Masters degree in English from Ranchi University and a B.Ed. from Loyola College of Education Jamshedpur (Ranchi University).
Over the years, I have worked in various reputed schools such as Loyola School Jamshedpur, Sunbeam Schools Group Varanasi and Rajghat Besant School, Varanasi (Krishnamurti Foundation). My cumulative formal school teaching experience adds up to about 14 years. In between the jobs (which I had to change due to my husband's transfer etc.), I continued taking tuition at home. I teach English, EVS, Science, Maths and S.St. to students of Classes I to V and English to the students of Classes IX & X. I have also successfully prepared boys and girls for entrance tests of Hill Schools such as Welham Girls' School, Dehradun and St. George's College, Mussoorie. I have also prepared students for Model UN and conducted UN simulations. I have prepared students for plays (including Shakespearean) and staged them.
I also conduct academic training sessions and Forum Theatre for school teachers.
My key skills: Enhancing the creative writing, presentation skills, English Grammar and speaking skills of students. I believe that if a child acquires a good command over language skills during early years, rest of the learning becomes easier. We have recently (Oct 2019) shifted and finally settled at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. I now wish to dedicate myself to tutoring children at my home.
