When I went to the Gems School, Palam Vihar, for my child admission, I was amazed with the infrastructure, facilities, sports academy and many more. However, when I met existing school parents, my entire admiration for school shattered.

School showcase plenty of qualified teachers, but when I met with other parents of Gems School, found that all qualified teachers have left the school and the current staff is of no use.

While I have met numerous parents of GEMS International School, Palam Vihar and most of them are unhappy, I would not like to take risk of admitting my child in this school.

GEMS Akademia is one of the best schools in Kolkata. With quality education and top-notch facilities. Will highly recommend this school.

It's absolutely a fake place. The complete system is oriented towards looking good to outsiders just to get new students. People often get impressed by the outside look. Their property/infrastructure (mostly is functional) Take for example the first few reviews of 5 star feedback are by the owner and their family, who will never put their own kids in this school. I believe the Owner lacks vision for the school, the Principal is worthless, so called students care officer, accounts staff, administrative staff. They cannot keep any good teacher for long, as they promise good salary and finally do not pay. So the turnaround of teachers is very high. It is a good place to dump the spoiled kids by their filthy rich parents. Each class will have 3 to 4 good students who have been admitted to the school by mistake/false advertisement or due to other compelling reason. Rest are failed and spoiled students of other schools. There is no quality control for intake of students and teachers. Wardens and teachers job is more like ringmasters in circus. The principal has given this policy as "equal opportunity school". There is looting of money by accounts using fake bills or no proof of expenses. No safety and security from outsiders, snakes, insects, food quality, safety of school transport. Health care is equally fake. 2 out of 3 nurses does not have any formal training in nursing. There is a part time doctor (if i am not mistaken, she is a gynecologist) who is more of namesake and visits once a week. Imagine the situation of more than 200 boarders in the hands of untrained nurses who knows for fever we must use Clavam 250 without even knowing that it is an antibiotic. This is my honest feedback based on personal experience. You may talk to other parents before taking your important decision of putting your child in this school.
