hey, My daughter is 3 yrs 5 months so I want to admit her next year for Nursery. Right now she has her Pre-School studies at her day care itself. Can anyone suggest what other than drawing, singing nursery rythmes, basic colour recognition and basic ABC is needed for Nursery, which is LKG? How much speaking English should they know? Thanks. just another Q, any idea if it is ok if only the mother is a graduate n father is not but father is in business...doing good. And how abt the income they r looking at is it quite high...as per ur exp if anybody can share whose child got through..i am really tensed for my child's admission next yr..

Do they also check the qualifications of both the parents...is it ok if only one parent is a graduate ....can anyone share how much income category are they looking at...if your child has got thro LKG....

Hi Anju, My Son got through ,but, its difficult to share on what basis does the selection happen. I believe this is same for most schools , The schools ask for details like pay,distance etc. , but then, frankly, in my opinion, and as per shared experiences of parents on this portal , I honestly feel that its difficult to understand the selection criteria... more»

I had been to the school today.. they suggested to come and check tomorrow i.e. 22nd May @4 PM. They will update on notice board informing how many seats are available and then we will have to proceed. ' We do not get any kind of application form from the school, as they will be updating the notice board with some info according to which we will have... more»

When i called a month before they said after 21 of May - is this the right date?

Good or bad is not subjective, always in everything. FAPS is in no way good since their interview process is so absurd.

We parents need not sit and do Phd to find a good school as each one of us have already found a good school already. It is time for you to sit and do a Phd to compare the rest of all good schools in bangalore and how they go about interviewing.

Even the basic infrastructure of FAPS is not sooo good compared to the fee that they collect.

It is some basic common sense that with which v parents come n post our comments here, abt schools which are not worth enof for the hype that is created abt them.

Our point is that , such schools need not b branded or hyped or boasted so much about when they r not worth enof. Thatz the point and v parents r not fools to just go with watever happens. Better to discuss points which are absurd abt these schools and let everyone know wat these schools r actually upto and make other parents realize that everything is business now and especially abt this school. «less

Good or bad school is subjective and its ones own opinion and perception, for one FAPS would be an exceptionally Good School for another it may be a bad experience, so FAPS wouldn't try to satisfy its customers in return it may try to remove... more»

Good or bad school is subjective and its ones own opinion and perception, for one FAPS would be an exceptionally Good School for another it may be a bad experience, so FAPS wouldn't try to satisfy its customers in return it may try to remove dissatisfaction......so the the world is big enough to accommodate more children into this world, so there is no school that can meet all ur requirement. So chill ........relax and find a school that matches your child's requirement. You may have to do a Phd to find a school that best matches your temperament and your child's career. «less

Hi All, :-) even we didnt get selected after the interview. I dont feel bad at all coz i think in no way FAPS is one of those best schools as hyped by all. First of all i dont understand the interview process (I) parents being interviewed and that too 3 standards questions for all parents. (III) asking for originals of pay slip ( wat would they do if both the parents loose job after admitting their kid in FABPS )

Manu i agree with your comments. Because of our child future we blindly submit all the documents. Even in near future they will ask for the bank statements and assets. If this is the case people wont stop applying with this docs.

Yeah Mahesh & Ameet, i too was totally dissappointed, i was so keen to admit my daughter in this school, i was expecting we will get the admission.... dont know what criteria they follow to accept / reject the application.

Hi All, I could notice so many discrepancies in this selection process:
They are very choosy - priority goes to Anglo Indian, Christianity..But when they released the list of candidates for interview, 90% falls in category "O" which means "General"...When they have given some ratings with priorities and categorised a, b, c, d, e, etc...based on various bench marks how come all the people comes under "O" still do not understand...Even for Christians also they put in "O" category.
Why do they ask salary slip? do they have the right to ask? it's common sense that every parent will try admission in affordable school only. If the salary is less, do they help? if the salary is more, do we pay more? No shcools have the authority to ask about the salary. Still we parent agree to it foreseeing our children's bright future. That they exploit. But in some other reputed school, we need to mention in the application form. Nobody ask for the proof. May be in near future Frank Antony may ask for your Form 16 also. «less

Ya i agree with ameet bcoz we are one among the rejected candidates and i was really dissappointed, i dont know on what basis they select children we being a highly educated parents.

Yes this esteemed school would do a great service by stating what criteria did they adhere to in rejecting a www.candidate..in my case I just stay across the road from the school..we are educated in today's standards..I mean logically also does it mean I should send my kid to a school 10 km away or someone who stays 10 kms away would send their kid... more»

Finished the interview today, same as other commented. Just original verification, where do you stay, working or not question to my wife, is your kid going to some playschool. At the end of the interview, they put some ratings against each name - did any one noticed that? I found that for me it was "B....something"..
