I have gained valuable experience from working in these institutions, which has helped me to develop my teaching skills and refine my teaching style.
My journey as a teacher began in the government sector, where I worked for ten years. However, the rigorous work schedule made me struggle to balance my personal and professional life. My work consumed all my time, and I felt like I could not take time out. Eventually, I left the government sector and became a freelance teacher. This would allow me to work according to my schedule and pursue other interests. I registered with an online platform to connect with students who needed help with their studies.
I teach various primary subjects, including English, Hindi, Maths, and EVS, to students in classes first to fifth. I have completed my B. Ed and MA in English and Maths have helped me comprehensively understand these subjects and their pedagogy. I teach both online and offline classes from the comfort of my home. It has been a wonderful experience to be able to interact with students from different backgrounds and help them achieve their academic goals.
As a teacher, planning and preparation are essential components of effective teaching. I always develop a detailed lesson plan before each class, including self-made presentations and notes. This helps me to deliver the subject matter in a structured and organised manner, which is easier for students to comprehend. To reinforce the learning, I provide my students with self-made assignments that allow them to apply the concepts they have learned in class. This helps them practice, strengthen their learning and helps me assess their understanding of the subject matter.
