VCR stands for Vapour Compression Refrigeration System. It is a refrigeration system in which cooling is obtained with the help of refrigerant. It consist of four major components such as Compressor, Condenser, Expansion Valve and Evaporator. In Compressor vapour refrigerant is compressed and passed through condenser where high temperature refrigerant gives up heat to surrounding air and get condensed. As the condensed liquid is at higher pressure hence it is passed through capillary tube (expansion valve) where its pressure is reduced and thus the temperature and then it is supplied through evaporator which is cooling coil.
